DTU Summer School 2022

Advanced Optimization, Learning, and Game-Theoretic Models in Energy Systems

DTU Summer School 2022 was organized by the DTU PES EMA group, and brought together academics and industry professionals from around the world, in an intensive 5-day course, where they learned about the latest developments in advanced optimization, learning, and game-theoretic models in energy systems, connect, and exchange ideas. Distinguished speakers from the US and Europe, excelling both in research and teaching, were invited to give lectures both providing the fundamentals and introducing advanced topics in their field. More than 50 people attended this course from all across the globe.

The DTU Summer School 2022 aimed to give participants practical experience with the latest developments in advanced optimization, learning, and game-theoretic models in energy systems. Participants of the course will:

  • Gain practical experience with advanced optimization, learning, and game-theoretic models applied to energy systems
  • See relevant examples of these techniques used in cutting-edge research
  • Sharpen their peer review and feedback skills by reviewing other participants’ work

The summer school focused in particular on machine learning, stochastic programming, model predictive control, optimization, equilibrium models, forecasting and their applications to power systems. All recorded lectures and slides can be found below.
